| 浅析《德伯家的苔丝》中的英雄主义
摘要：《德伯家的苔丝》是英国作家哈代的长篇小说，也是英语文学中最伟大的作品之一。小说通过对一个纯洁女子在精神上和肉体上双重迫害的描写，通过对一个女性丰富深刻的精神世界的剖析，对英国资本主义社会的法律、宗教、道德、婚姻制度等方面做了大胆而无情的揭露和控诉。哈代借苔丝悲剧的一生有力地抨击了当时维多利亚时代的男权制社会。无辜受害者苔丝被认为是站在男权社会主流思想和意识形态的对立面，是一个离经叛道的为社会所不容忍的妖女。而对男权社会的摧残和压迫，苔丝的反击呐喊出了男权社会对女性压迫的实质，小说的女主人公苔丝是英国文学史上一个在不幸命运中坚持反抗的光辉的女性。本文讲述的是该作品中体现的英雄主义。
本论文分为五个部分。第一部分介绍《德伯家的苔丝》的作者哈代的生平，个人成就，该小说的主要内容和写作背景。第二部分介绍英雄主义的定义，发展，分类。第三部分分析作品中英雄主义存在的原因。第四部分具体分析小说中体现出来的英雄主义。第五部分总结英雄主义对时代的意义。

An Analysis of Heroism in Tess of the D’Urbervilles
Abstract
Tess of the D’Urbervilles is a novel written by Hardyand one of the greatest works in English literature. Through the description of a pure woman’s spiritual and physical persecution, and through the analysis of a woman’s rich and profound spiritual world,the novel makes a bold and unrestrained analysis of the law, religion,morality, marriage system and other aspects of the British capitalist society. Hardy used Tess’s tragic life to forcefully attack the patriarchal society in the Victorian era.Tess, the innocent victim, is considered to stand in the opposite of the mainstream ideology and ideology of the patriarchal society, and is a deviant and intolerable sibyl. Tess’s counterattack to the destruction and oppression of the patriarchal societyhas shouted out the essence of the oppression of women in the patriarchal society. Tess is a brilliant woman who insists on resisting in the unfortunate fate in the history of English literature. This article is about the heroism embodied in the works.
This thesis is divided into five parts.The first part introduces Hardy’s life, personal achievements,the main content and writing background of Tess of the D’Urbervilles. The second part introduces the definition, development and classification of heroism.The third part analyzes the reasons for the heroism in the novel.The fourth part analyzes the heroism embodied in the novel,and the fifth part summarizes the significance of heroism to the times.
