| 汉英习语翻译中的文化差异：以颜色和植物词汇为例【英文】 摘要：习语是语言中的精华, 传递着社会文化信息。汉英习语因为文化的不同而具有较大的差异, 在不同的民族文化中, 相同的数字、颜色、动物、习俗等有着不同的含义, 由此衍生的习语也因此带有不同的感情色彩。只有充分探究了汉英民族文化后才能更好地对习语进行理解、使用和翻译。 论文首先阐述了汉英习语的概念和特征，其次介绍汉英习语翻译中的文化意义，以汉英颜色词和植物词习语的文化意义为例，然后从文化传统、历史背景、审美观念和思维方式的角度分析产生汉英习语文化差异的原因，最后针对汉英习语翻译的文化差异提出习语的翻译处理的一些技巧和方法。 通过对习语翻译的研究可以看出，习语的翻译和使用均需了解不同民族、国家的相关文化背景，按照其语言文化环境习惯进行翻译。 关键字：汉英习语；文化；差异；翻译 The Culture Differences in the Translation of Chinese and English Idioms: A Case Study of Color and Plant Vocabulary Abstract Idioms are the essence of language and convey social and cultural information.Chinese and English idioms are different due to their cultural differences.In different national cultures, the same numbers, colors, animals,customs and other culture factors have different meanings, which endows idioms with different meanings and implications. Only after fully exploring the Chinese-English culture can idioms be better understood, used and translated. This paper first expounds the concepts and characteristics of English-Chinese idioms,introduces the cultural significance of Chinese and English idiom translation,takes the cultural significance of Chinese and English color words and plant idioms as an example, then analyzes the causes for the cultural differences between Chinese and English idioms from the perspective of cultural tradition, historical background, aesthetic concepts and ways of thinking, and finally puts forward some techniques and methods for the translation of Chinese and English idioms. Through the study of idioms translation,only with full knowledge of the cultural differences between English and Chinese can idioms be correctly translated and used.
